Where they started

The problem

Arrows of Wonder sells printed homeschool unit studies by Kayt Carlson. Each theme comes in four levels, so children from 5 to 14 can study the same topic at their own level.

The books are printed to order, so every sale has to reach her with the right title and level, and parents want to know where their book is without emailing to ask.

What we did about it

What we built

Four phone screens from the live Arrows of Wonder shop: the collection with level filters, the shop filtered to Giant Slayers ages 11 to 14, the Wings + Things page with Mighty Warriors selected and an Add to Cart button, and the Inside the Pages sample page grid.

01

One theme, four levels

Every unit comes in four levels, from Little Wonders at ages 5 to 6 up to Giant Slayers at ages 11 to 14. Parents can filter the shop by age, pick the level on the book page and flip through sample pages before they buy. All 8 books come in all 4 levels.

A laptop showing the live Review and Checkout page with two Wings + Things books, Little Wonders and Mighty Warriors, a demo@example.com email and the Pay and Start Adventure button, next to a phone showing the same two books in the cart drawer.

02

Cart to Stripe checkout

Parents can put two levels of the same unit in one cart, one for each child. The checkout page shows the books, levels and shipping, then hands off to Stripe for the address and card. Nothing was paid for this picture.

Four phone screens with demo data: the customer order confirmation email, the owner's New Order Secured email listing four Seaside + Seashores levels for Demo Customer B, and the Track page showing the order as Shipped with a progress bar from Ordered to Delivered.

03

After they pay

When Stripe confirms a payment, the order is saved, the family gets a confirmation email and Kayt gets an email with the books, levels and address. Families can check their order any time on the Track page with the order number and their email.

Four phone screens of the owner dashboard with demo data: the order list with Printing and Shipped badges, the Modify Order window set to Shipped with a demo tracking number, the email toggle and Update Order button, and the promo codes list with DEMO10 and DEMOBUNDLE.

04

Her order desk

Kayt sees every order with its status and which emails have gone out. She sets an order to processing, printing or shipped, adds a tracking number and can email the family in the same step.
